Final Project

For the open project I would like to do a piece about what happens when nature strikes back. Kind of an end of the world type thing. Maybe have some buildings getting taken over by trees or vines. I also thought about having the vines wrap around a structure like octopus tentacles. Possibly have two different prints that go together.

Artist Statement

For my project I would like to explore the relationship between living breathing things and non-living things. Personally I would like to make a picture that somehow incorporates humor, whether it be intentional/obvious or hidden somewhere within it yet to be determined.

An example of how I would accomplish this could be how a curled up leaf looks like a taco shell. I want to find these little areas in everyday items that you wouldn’t normally see. I feel like this still would fit into the theme of the Cyclical Nature of Things because a taco goes through a life cycle as most living things do. Just because it does not breathe, doesn’t mean it does not have a beginning and an end. 

Finally got the washer like I want it. Still have to choose between the top loader and the front loader.
